What is the Team Plan?
The Team plan is built for groups of 10 to 100 people and includes tools for managing member access and permissions. It's ideal for organizations that want to learn together.
What's the difference between the Pro plan and the Team plan?
Pro is designed for individual use — it's the best choice if you're learning on your own.
Team is built for groups of 10 to 100 people and includes tools for managing member access and permissions. It's ideal for organizations that want to learn together.
When you choose to subscribe to a Team plan, you automatically become the Team Admin. As Team Admin, you have access to a dedicated team management page where you can:
- Invite and remove team members
- Manage the subscription
Team members get all the same benefits and features as Pro users — so when you're added to a Team plan, you'll be upgraded to Pro automatically.
How do I invite someone to join my team?
As the Team Admin, you can invite new members by adding their email addresses. There are a few ways to do it:
- One by one - enter each email address individually.
- Multiple at once - enter several email addresses at the same time, separated by a comma or space.
- CSV import - upload a CSV file to add a large list at once.
After you send the invitation, they'll get an email to sign up or log in to DeepLearning.AI and join the team. Once they accept, their status will update from "Invited" to "Active".
If they haven't accepted yet, you can cancel the invite at any time — the seat will be released right away.
If the invitation has expired, just resend it from the Team Management page.
Why am I charged when adding a new member mid-cycle?
Each seat on your team is billed per user for the current billing cycle. When you add a new member mid-cycle:
- If there are available seats — the new member is added at no extra charge, using an existing seat.
- If there are no available seats — a new seat is purchased for that person, and you'll be charged a prorated amount covering only the remaining days of the current cycle. This is because all members in your Team plan share the same renewal date, so the new member's seat is aligned to your team's existing billing cycle from day one.
Please note: We're unable to offer refunds or seat swaps for removed members mid-cycle.
What happens if the Team Admin removes a member?
When a Team Admin removes a member:
- The member immediately loses access to Pro features
- Their seat is marked as Scheduled Removal and will be deducted from your total at the next billing cycle
- The Admin can reactivate the member before the billing cycle ends if needed
Since each seat is paid for per user through the end of the billing cycle, the seat cannot be transferred or swapped to a different user mid-cycle. If you need to add a new member, a new seat will be required for the remainder of the cycle.

What happens to a member's learning progress when they're removed?
Their learning progress is completely safe. All records stay tied to their personal account.
Once removed, they'll be downgraded to the Free plan and can continue learning at any time. They can also rejoin a Team plan or upgrade to Pro on their own whenever they're ready.
How do I know which team I belong to?
Go to Settings https://learn-staging.deeplearning.ai/my/account → Plan & Billing to view your team details.
- If you subscribed to the Team plan, you'll see a "Manage Subscription" option there.
- If you're a Team member (not the Admin), you can see which team you belong to, but only the Team Admin can make changes to the plan.
